Cheesy Capsicum Pizza-Style Pasta

What do Pizza and Pasta have in common? They are Italian. I wanted to try making pasta that tasted like Pizza, and since I am quite lazy when it comes to cooking, I wanted to make the recipe as simple as possible. This recipe is what I tried out, and it tasted great, but the idea is simple. Use any Pizza recipe, but instead of pizza base, use Pasta.

Ingredients Required

2 cups of boiled Pasta

2 cubes of cheese

¾ cup of milk

½ capsicum

Vegetables of your choice (I used tomato and carrot )

A handful of chopped Celery

1 chopped onion

1 tablespoon of butter

Oregano/pepper seasoning

Instructions

Boil the Del Monte Pasta as per the instructions given. Pour 2 cups in salted water and boil for 10 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside. In a skillet, saute the chopped onion and capsicum in 1 tbsp of butter until the onion becomes golden brown. Add the celery. Now, add the cheese and milk and bring to a boil. The cheese can be shredded for melting it faster. You can even add extra cheese, if you want the pasta to be more cheesy.

While it is boiling, add the other vegetables and mix well. If you want it to taste exactly like normal pizza, just add some tomato. Stir well for a few minutes until the mixture starts thickening. When it thickens to an extent, add the pasta.

Stir well, and allow to settle. Serve hot and garnish with oregano/pepper seasoning. You can also add a little bit of salt if needed.

Believe me, it won’t take more than 20 minutes to get this done. It tastes great too. At least greater than I expected.
